Conference of Grand Masters
in North America

The Masonic Renewal Committee is sanctioned by the Annual Conference of Grand Masters to provide continuity for the Masonic Renewal efforts of the Masonic Grand Jurisdictions of North America; to bring about the renewal of Freemasonry as an active, viable and relevant institution for the 21st Century.

During the Annual Conference in February of 2008 in Louisville, Kentucky, the Conference adopted the following resolution regarding the electronic sharing of information:

Most Worshipful Brother Johnny D. Onkst, Conference Chairman

Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America, 19 February 2008

Submitted by Raymond G. Christensen, GM of Minnesota for Group Eight, with the assistance of RWB David B. Dibrell, PGM Texas, Chairman of The Masonic Renewal Committee of North America, Inc.

Title: Electronic Access to approved Masonic Educational Information

Resolution:

Be it Therefore Resolved: That the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America evaluate a mechanism to facilitate the sharing of Masonic Educational Information via member Grand Lodge websites.

Implementation Plan:

The Masonic Renewal Committee (MRC) of North America of the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America will become the repository for North American Grand Lodge education, research, and information programs.

The MRC will be provided title and subject indexes with active links to Jurisdictional Grand Lodge submitted topics.  The content and accuracy of material indexed and submitted for posting will be the responsibility of each North American Grand Lodge.  The MRC will then index and group the materials for dispersal to individual Grand Lodges.  Each Grand Lodge will locally maintain and update its submission materials.

The subject indexes will be made available to Jurisdictional Grand Lodges by secure access.  Each Grand Lodge will be able to download the indexed information.  This information will be utilized and made available according to local jurisdictional policy.

MRC will periodically distribute an E-Newsletter with new titles and updates to the member jurisdictions.  Again, it is vital that each jurisdiction maintains and updates their postings on a regular basis.

Each Grand Lodge and its member lodges should utilize this information for program, research, and educational offerings.  This access will also enable isolated masons and life long learners the opportunity for continued Masonic education, research, and scholarship.
